Isabela Gerbelli Garbin Ramanzini is a Professor of International Relations at the Federal University of Uberlandia in Brazil, where she coordinates the Center for Research and Studies in Human Rights (NUPEDH). She received her PhD from the Institute of International Relations at the University of São Paulo in 2014. Her research interests are international human rights regimes, international courts and tribunals, and transnational mobilization. During her Fellowship at the Carr Center, she is working on primary sources from the Inter-American Human Rights System, examining evidence on how individual roles might explain change, continuity and effectiveness of this regional human rights system. She is also a lawyer, with previous experience in the child advocacy field, providing pro bono legal assistance to juvenile justice, child welfare and family law custody cases in Brazil
